Trust all is well.

The tremerous shifts that covid-19 has induced, have happened in a matter of days, not even months, instantly translating traditional metrics and assumptions irrelevant, Means - Uncertainty is the buzzword.

Covid-19 will create the most serious global economic crisis in a century, since the Great Depression from 1929-1939, have a look at the following points in the last 2 weeks;

  • 17 million Americans have applied for unemployment benefits.
  • 1 million Britons applied for welfare payments
  • In Germany, 470,000 companies applied for German state wage support in March only, more are in the pipeline.
  • 23 million, have registered for the government’s cash handout whereas the grants will cover only 9 million people, think about the rest.

  • In India, 84.26 lakh people have been provided meals across the country during the lockdown, that’s not even 1% of our population, imagine how many must be starving.

The bottom-line is we are in the middle of something unprecedented, unheard-of & precarious. This definitely calls for a matured approach!

We should take a pause & rethink our analytical approach. Going forward act-pause-assess-anticipate-act cycle should be the new way of leadership, which in turn will make our company more versatile to shocks, more productive, eventually ending up into a stronger delivery engine.

Friends, This crisis has explained us forcefully that nobody is immune, a problem in a city can turn into a global problem and forced all of us to think about the probability of what is unfolding around us. We should take proactive steps to conserve available resources, use these resources judiciously so that we can together fight circumstances arising from the current situation. On these Lines, I would like to thank and congratulate leadership team for taking proactive approach by Voluntarily taking home only sustenance amount as monthly remuneration instead of salaries for the month of March. This is a great example of leading from the front during tough times and acting as a cushion to safeguard their respective teams. Steps like these will enable us to conserve our resources to overcome the mayhem unfolding around us.

Gentleman, initiative of our leaders reminds me the motto of the armed forces of India . “The safety, honour & welfare of your country comes first, always & every time. The honour, welfare & comfort of the men you command, come next. Your own ease, comfort & safety come last, always & every time.”

Seasia salute its commanders. We are keeping a close eye on the ever-changing business propositions across the world , with US badly affected & being our one of the biggest customer base, we are doing our best to ensure that we do not have to pass on the impact to you. Hopefully, situations like this will help all of us recalibrate so that together we can create better families, cities, countries which eventually results in a perfect world.
