Event Ticketing Platform Development for a Multi-Market Event Ecosystem
Seasia developed a feature-rich event ticketing platform that gives organizers one place to create and promote events, manage ticket sales, process payments, communicate with attendees, and track performance.
Overview

The client required a comprehensive custom event ticketing platform capable of supporting both event organizers and attendees throughout the complete event lifecycle.
The platform enables organizers to publish events, configure multiple ticket types, manage pricing and promotions, receive settlements, advertise events, and analyze sales performance. Customers can discover events, purchase tickets, receive digital passes, request eligible refunds, and interact with support through the same ecosystem.
As the product expanded internationally, the architecture also had to accommodate regional payment infrastructure, regulatory requirements, multiple currencies, recurring revenue models, and independently scalable application services.

Project Scope & Business Challenges
The project required considerably more than conventional event ticketing software development. The platform needed to address several operational and technical challenges simultaneously.
Solution Offered by Seasia
Seasia approached the project as an end-to-end event management platform development initiative rather than a standalone ticketing application. The platform was architected around independently deployable services, allowing critical areas of the system to scale and evolve without creating dependencies across the entire application.
User & Organizer Management
Seasia developed a dedicated user service supporting email and social authentication, Apple sign-in, organizer onboarding, bank and mobile money payout configuration, and OTP-based password recovery.
Event Management
The event service that enables organizers to control the complete publishing workflow, including event creation, event categories, ticket configurations, pricing options, refund policies, custom event settings, favorites, and more.
Order & Revenue Management
A dedicated order service that manages ticket orders, sponsorship transactions, advertisement transactions, stripe payments, Paystack transactions, and recurring billing workflows.
Multi-Gateway Payment Architecture
For Ghana-based organizers, Seasia implemented Paystack Subaccounts and Split Payments so organizer earnings can be routed directly according to configured settlement rules.
Mobile Money Payment Flows
Paystack-based Mobile Money transactions use OTP authorization along with webhook verification and idempotent ticket issuance. This prevents duplicate ticket creation when payment notifications are retried or delayed.
Automated Subscription Management
Recurring sponsorship and advertising products are managed through automated cron-based billing and lifecycle workflows. Database locking and atomic processing controls were introduced to prevent overlapping workers from creating duplicate subscriptions or billing actions.
Notifications & Customer Communication
The platform supports real-time and asynchronous communication through email, SMS, push notifications, and socket-based real-time alerts.
Reporting & Analytics
Organizers can monitor event and sales performance through analytics dashboards supported by Google Analytics and BigQuery integrations. Reports can also be exported in Excel and PDF formats.
AI/ML Insights
A dedicated Python and FastAPI-based AI/ML service provides the foundation for data analysis and intelligent platform insights.
Our Tech Stack
The platform was structured using a scalable, secure, and integration-ready technology stack suitable for fintech, retail, and payment workflows.
