Health data protection requirements of the deployment market
Afyanet connects patients and doctors over chat, audio and video, and carries each consultation through to prescriptions, test orders and connected lab and pharmacy fulfilment. Seasia built it end to end on a single React Native codebase, live on iOS and Android.

Most telehealth products stop at the video call, but a consultation that ends there is not a completed episode of care. A medication query, a routine follow-up and a first consultation each suit a different channel, and the prescription or test order issued at the end of any of them is only useful if the patient can act on it. Afyanet was built around that full arc: patients choose their own clinician by specialty, hold the consultation over chat, audio or video in a single session model, and reach connected labs and pharmacies from inside the same flow to fulfil what was issued.
The platform carries two user classes with opposed needs, frictionless patient onboarding through social, email or phone login, against verified clinician identity and a workflow built for consultation throughput, as distinct experiences over a shared backend.

The platform needed to support different consultation modes without forcing every clinical interaction into the same workflow. It also had to extend care beyond the consultation itself.
Key challenges included:
Seasia designed a dual-role telehealth platform with flexible chat, audio, and video consultations, clinician discovery, clinical document exchange, and connected lab and pharmacy workflows. Separate patient and doctor experiences were built over a shared backend.
Chat, audio and video consultation in a single session model, with mode switching inside a live encounter. Video and audio delivered through Agora.
Patients browse and select clinicians by specialty and availability rather than being routed to whoever is free.
Clinicians upload test orders and medication prescriptions directly into the consultation thread, retained against the patient record.
Patients contact labs and pharmacies from within the app to act on prescriptions and test orders issued in consultation.
Separate doctor and patient application experiences over a shared backend, each with its own onboarding, permissions and workflow.
Email and phone registration alongside social login through Facebook, Google and Twitter, reducing patient onboarding drop-off.
Push notification infrastructure for appointment confirmation, consultation start, prescription issue, and follow-up prompts.
Google Fit integration syncing activity and calorie data into the patient profile, giving clinicians context beyond the consultation.
A single React Native codebase across iOS and Android, reducing feature-parity drift and release overhead.
The platform brought virtual consultations, clinician discovery, prescriptions, test orders, and patient engagement into a single connected care experience. Separate doctor and patient workflows were supported by shared services for authentication, notifications, and post-consultation follow-through.

Chat, audio and video consultation delivered in one session model rather than three separate products
Prescriptions and test orders issued digitally and actionable inside the same app through connected labs and pharmacies
Doctor and patient experiences delivered as distinct roles over a shared backend
Onboarding friction reduced through social, email and phone authentication
A single React Native codebase maintaining parity across iOS and Android
